LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters

It's pretty safe to say that the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters is one of the most hotly-anticipated (no pun intended) sets of recent years. The Firehouse was rumoured for release last year, and as the details began to emerge about the Ghostbusters set anticipation began to build.

Released this month (January, 2016), the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters is an impressive set. Featuring 4,634 pieces, it can stand alongside any LEGO Architecture set. The set measures 14" (36cm) high, 9" (25cm) wide and 14" (38cm) deep - that's with its walls opened out, and yes, it has a fully-modelled interior.

The set itself is full of details and nods to scenes from the Ghostbusters films:

The set also comes with 9 minifigures. In addition to the main Ghostbusters themselves, we get key characters (and ghosts) from the films. Included are: Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett, Louis Tully, Zombie Driver and Library Ghost. Also included are a blue and pink Ghost and, of course, Slimer.

The set is also big enough to house the Ghostbusters Ecto-1, available seperatly - indeed, beyond the high price, the lack of Ecto-1 appears to be one of this set's few setbacks.
